Al-Mughni Welfare and Orphanage Organization, the Orphanage Charitable organization operated by SIDMA College Sabah whose primary objective of its establishment is for the love of humanity: the caring, sharing, nourishing and nurturing of the young and deprived local children. It was initiated and launched by Dr Morni Hj Kambrie (Founder and Chairman of SIDMA College as well as Chairman of the Organization) and the late Tuan Haji Ali Ghafar at Kampung Lubok, Weston, on 27 May 2013. It was also part of Dr Morni’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR); a way to give back to the society a portion of the college's earnings by sharing it with the deprived, neglected and needy children.

First cohort of 30 very enthusiastic participants completed the first ever Kadazan Language Public Speaking Intensive Course organised by SIDMA College Kadazandusun Language Club and conducted at SIDMA College Kota Kinabalu. Launched on April 8, 2017, the eager participants finally completed the programme, which was also known as the “16 Hours Kadazan Language Challenge of Public Speaking and Conversational Course”, and everyone earned the “Certificate of Kadazan Language Proficiency” from Dr Morni Hj Kambrie, Founder and Chairman of SIDMA College Sabah and Sarawak. Mr David Tiongin Lumbok, Chairman, SIDMA Kadazandusun Language Club presented the certificate to the participants on 29 April 2017 on behalf of Dr Morni, who was away for another official function which he has committed earlier.

SIDMA College UNITAR Sabah Kota Kinabalu February 2017 semester students taking Event Management (MPU3502), together with other students, organised an Event Management Week from 7-12 April 2017 at SIDMA Atrium, SIDMA College, Kota Kinabalu.

The main purpose of the function was to act as a training ground to prepare the students to become successful events managers and also to enable them to work together to accomplish their shared vision. Through such activity, the students were exposed to various skills and knowledge in areas such problem solving, promoting and marketing their product or event, the processes involved in project or event planning, understanding of customers behaviour, and many more; which indirectly provide exposures for them to reflect upon in order to become an efficient event manager.
