SIDMA College Sabah in its effort to produce Early Childhood Educators (ECE) equipped with the necessary competencies expected in a 21st Century workplace, provides an actionable framework for its students, who are also future teachers, to implement a long term professional development plan that will extend their professional development beyond daily classroom lectures in order to create “coaching culture” enabling lecturers to provide the necessary scaffolding.

Adjunct Prof Dr Morni Hj Kambrie, Chairman and Founder of SIDMA College, a lecturer in UiTM prior to continuing his MBA in Scotland (1987). After completing his MBA and PhD in 1990, he joined Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC).

His interest in education grew since he was with UiTM in 1984, later a lecturer with Edith Cowan University, Australia, Bath MIM MBA and also while lecturing at University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) on contract basis.

Human Resource Department SIDMA College Sabah organised a staff gathering session to enable Adjunct Prof Dr Morni HJ Kambrie, Founder and Chairman of the college to thank all SIDMA staff for their commitment in fulfilling SIDMA College Goal and Mission, and also to alert them on the challenges ahead faced by all who are involved in the education sector during this demanding time, particularly colleges that are offering similar courses; thus competing for the same target group of students.
